PIRIOU: Passive stabilization of a Hydro-Oceanographic Multi-Mission vessel

PROJECT CONTEXT

This order for shipbuilder Piriou concerns a 72m multi-mission hydro-oceanographic ship stabiliser. This new Royal Moroccan Navy vessel  will be equipped with the passive SIRE system to ensure its stability without any CO2 emissions. Delivery took place during 2018.

The BHO2M is a state-of-the-art scientific vessel capable of long operations at high speed in all sea conditions. It is derived from the design of the Multi-Mission Ships (B2M) built in Concarneau for the French Navy. Its missions are varied, mainly of a hydrographic and oceanographic nature.
