PROJECT CONTEXT

The Alfred Merlin is a subsea archeological research vessel operated by the DRASSM (French department of subsea archeological research). She has been designed by MAURIC and has been built from composite material by IxBlue in la Ciotat.

The ship is equipped with cutting edge technologies to detect shipwrecks (sonar, magnetometer, etc.). She is also capable of deploying ROVs for deep-sea exploration.

StabInSea’s passive stabilization solution was the solution of choice to be able to operate in a wide range of sea states.
